My clinical approach combines cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and a strengths-based process to trigger goal-oriented actions. During each personalized session, I use a multitude of therapeutic models in order to serve my clients needs. I work with you throughout therapy, side by side, on finding tangible tools to help you overcome challenges, and make sense of whatever it is that you may be struggling with or want to explore.

Sophie Ferron
MSW, PSW

Do you feel stuck in life? Do you feel the need to put your emotions into words, and talk to someone who can support you through the trials you’re going through?

As a clinical social worker for over 25 years, I help people gain the perspective they need to find their own solutions to their issues. I guide them through their difficult times so that they develop a better understanding of themselves, as well as a different perspective on a situation. I facilitate awareness that leads to concrete action and change, while respecting each individual’s pace.

I’ve been described as a warm, reassuring, non-judgmental humanist and a committed professional who takes the development of every human being to heart. My intention is to offer a collaborative approach so that people feel confident to explore their emotions in complete safety.

My personal and professional journey has enabled me to develop a practice that integrates several intervention approaches, including Somatic Experiencing (nervous system regulation), the Solution-Oriented Approach (SOA), systemic intervention and non-violent communication.

I’ve had the privilege of working in a number of community organizations, health and social service programs and private enterprise, helping a diverse clientele (adults, families, adolescents) and often in a multi-ethnic context. I work with individuals in the present moment to foster their autonomy and well-being, while addressing deeper issues.

I deeply believe that every human being has the capacity to transform themselves to improve their well-being and take power over their life and environment.

I am a member of OTSTCFQ in good standing.  Receipts provided for your insurance.

Jasmine Lemire
Psychotherapist, MSW, PSW

The quality of our social relations plays a crucial role in our daily well-being and functioning. This deep-rooted interest has naturally led me to specialize in individual, couple and family therapy for more than 10 years.

When I deal with individuals, couples or families, I take an integrative approach to meet everyone’s specific need. The therapeutic methods that I use are mainly centered on emotions and narrative therapy. While doing this, I always keep a systemic perspective that takes into account the rational and social dynamics influencing our interactions with our loved ones and our social positioning.

This way I help people to better understand their behavior and their emotions concerning complex dynamics they face and to explore new ways to function, depending of their objectives and needs.

As a social worker I have worked many years with diverse clientele, including mainly the LGBTQ+ community, adult psychiatry and at the CLSC, where I provided follow-up care for issues like separation, bereavement, childbirth, burnout, etc.

Following this, I have specialized in couple and family therapy as well as in psychotherapy by completing a master degree at McGill University. During that period, I practiced in a hospital setting, as well as in child psychiatry, dealing with adolescents and their families.

I hold a couple and family license issued by the Order des thérapeutes conjugaux et familiaux du Québec ( OTSTCFQ  ) aswell as a license issued by l’ Order des psychologues duQuébec ( OPQ ).

My career has allowed me to develop an open and dynamic perspective on individual, relational and social issues that are inseparable.

I look forward to the opportunity to work with you at Resolutions Therapy Center, bringing an open and dynamic perspective on individual, relational, and social issues.
